Lovely Professional University hosted the 4th International Conference of Pharmacy (ICP-2024) hosted by the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences in association with the Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association (IPGA). The conference brought together highly accomplished professionals in pharmacy from around the globe, creating an environment for national and international pharmacy enthusiasts to exchange knowledge and insights. This year’s conference theme, “Pharmaceutical Innovations and Challenges: Designing a Sustainable Healthy Society,” served as a platform for discussions on innovative practices and solutions to the pharmaceutical industry’s contemporary challenges.
The guest of honour, Dr. Deependra Singh, inspired attendees with his compelling speech. “Pharmaceutical research is the bedrock of a sustainable healthcare system. In our quest for excellence, let us remember that every innovation is a step towards better health outcomes for our communities. Together, we can create a future where health knows no boundaries,” remarked Dr. Singh, underscoring the importance of relentless pursuit in pharmaceutical research.
Bollywood maestro Piyush Mishra graced “Kitab Utsav 2024” at LPU

Kitab Utsav 2024, a three-day literary festival hosted by Lovely Professional University (LPU) in collaboration with Rajkamal Prakashan Samuh, celebrated literature, creativity, and inspiration under the theme #KitabDost. The event was graced by Bollywood maestro Piyush Mishra, who delivered an impactful keynote, urging the youth to embrace meaningful literature, cinema, and music to steer their potential in the right direction. Mishra shared insights from his autobiography Tumhari Aukaat Kya Hai, highlighting his personal struggles with issues like alcoholism and the importance of balanced living. His captivating performances of iconic songs like “Ik Bagal” and “Arambh Hai Prachand” electrified the audience, while his humor and wisdom in an engaging Q&A session inspired students.
The festival also featured Vineet Kumar, who emphasized the need for a digital detox to foster mental clarity and creativity, and a wide array of engaging competitions such as calligraphy, bookmark-making, and drama contests. With a vibrant book fair showcasing diverse genres, the event drew overwhelming participation from students, reflecting LPU’s dedication to promoting a culture of learning and creativity. The university’s leadership, including Chancellor Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, reiterated the importance of reading as a foundation for growth and excellence. Kitab Utsav 2024 left an indelible mark as a celebration of literary brilliance and a platform for students to draw inspiration from celebrated figures and their transformative journeys.
Hon’ble Justice Rajesh Bindal, Judge of the Supreme Court of India, addressed law students at LPU
School of Law, Lovely Professional University (LPU) hosted Hon’ble Justice Rajesh Bindal, Judge, Supreme Court of India, for an enlightening session on using information technology in the judiciary. This engaging ‘Youth Talk’ brought together law students and faculty to explore how technology is transforming legal systems and the critical role of ethics in this evolution.
Justice Rajesh Bindal, a distinguished advocate, judge, and apex court judge, shared his insights on technological integration in the judiciary during an event at LPU. He highlighted advancements like e-Courts, the National Judicial Data Grid, and automated case management systems, emphasizing their role in improving efficiency, transparency, and accessibility while tackling issues like case backlogs.
Addressing students, he urged them to uphold ethical values and embrace their role as future torchbearers of justice and societal change. The session provided a comprehensive understanding of how technology is reshaping the judiciary, with LPU reaffirming its commitment to preparing students for a tech-driven future.
